Living on a horse farm in NJ at a time when visitors (familiar and unfamiliar) would show up unexpectedly, I grew up accustomed to my family hosting guests for a meal or, more often, for days at a time. In nicer weather, most longer-term guests would camp out on the yard. Usually though, we kids had to give up our rooms so the guests could stay in the house, and we camped out on the yard. These times are unforgettable. The stories that came with these people have never left, nor have the taste of the foods they brought from places that were strange and exotic to a NJ farm kid. Thanks to these people – and my family’s willingness to host them, I developed a burning desire to eat strange food, meet interesting people, and see as much of the world as my wallet would let me.
I have settled down in this beautiful state of North Carolina. I have owned and worked in the hospitality business for over 20 years here in the Triad and Triangle areas, and I hope to make your stay at any of our guest houses as comfortable as possible. I still get out to explore, though mostly just locally, so if you are looking for something different to do during your stay and want some ideas, don’t hesitate to call!
